Structure
AMUT policy has always been to constantly update its production facilities.
The plants undergo a steady programme of renewal to ensure that the most up-to-date CNC machines are installed.
The thermal and safety tratments are granted by a highly skilled Company according to the most updated production cycles suitable to the characteristics of each component.
With the exception of few working operations, the manufacturing process is fully made to grant a tested product.

History
AMUT has been devoted to the manufacture of extrusion plants for processing thermoplastic materials even since it was established in 1958.
Over this period AMUT has established itself as a leading Company in both the field of extrusion and, since the 1980´s, in plastics recycling plants.
AMUT´s success in foreign markets (80% of its production) is particularly considerable, this is due to its stong export activity especially with machines and complete plants for the extrusion of thermoplastic materials.

Certifications
In order to reach the full satisfaction of the Customers, AMUT has always given an absolute priority to products quality and excellence of technical/commercial assistance services.
For this reason AMUT has always worked by giving importance to Company Quality System, by obtaining ISO 9001 Quality Certification in 1995 and its renewals according to international UNI EN ISO 9001:2000 ("VISION 2000") standards from January 2002, the latest renewal of 2009 will be valid up to January 2011. The next renewal is expected at he end of the year according to international UNI EN ISO 9001:2008 ("VISION 2008") standards.
The process quality is achieved by means of a steady application of a Quality Management System that allows an activity control through performance indicators and consequently improves the Company procedures starting from technical/commercial Customer requirements up to the after-sale assistance, considered as spare parts supply and technical support at Customer´s works.
The periodical analysis of Customers Satisfaction, allow a good relationship between AMUT and the Customer and the resulting important suggestions are the real drive for a constant upgrading.
Research & Development
The activities developed by the Research and Development Department have the purpose to optimize the extrusion processes referred to the quality and output and are the basis for the technological updating of AMUT products.
The Research and Development Department consists of three groups strictly connected by a coordination activity:
Calculation and Simulation Office: through calculation modulus based on forms (both standard and corrected according to the know-how achieved from the research activities), the new geometries of the plasticizing groups (screws and barrels) are elaborated and the flow channels of the extrusion heads are studied.
Experimental Research Department: in this department there are some experimental plants for the research on new products and the development of innovative production processes; there is also a series of extrusion plants used for experimental testing to evaluate any new elements (screws, heads, components), by the collection and analysis of the process data.
Testing laboratories: the tests made on the raw material and the extruded product are of physical, mechanical, rheological and dimensional type. The validation of the extrusion process is established through the analysis of the obtained data.
